RCMP FOUNDATION CADET CORPS OF CANADA
The RCMP Foundation’s Cadet Corps of Canada Program strives to instil youth with positive life skills and habits by providing them with mentoring from peer leaders and role models.
Through the Cadet Corps of Canada, the RCMP Foundation is committed to ensuring that youth across the country are provided with a positive and productive outlet to develop into capable, confident and well-rounded individuals.
Primary activities of the Cadet Corps are drill & deportment and physical fitness, but youth also engage in other activities such as participation in community events, cultural exercises, sports & outdoor games, speakers & life coaching and field trips. Typically, the cadets meet once a week after to school to practice drill and engage in other activities decided upon with the program Coordinator and RCMP Members.
The RCMP are the boots (& spurs) on the ground who work with community partners to ensure youth are physically active and develop skills for discipline, accountability, problem solving, teamwork and leadership.
